Mum’s Masala Traditional Vindaloo

Lovers of chilli and spice will love a Vindaloo  ….. be warned it’s Hot !


  • Jar of Mum’s Masala Hot
  • 700 grammes of Chicken with bone or boneless
  • 2/3 fresh Red chilli dependant on heat, remove seeds and chopped finely
  • 150 g of chopped tomatoes
  • Optional fresh coriander leaves to Garish

Prep Time 5 mins

Cooking Time 25/30 mins


Empty a jar of Mum’s Masala into a saucepan with the fresh chilli’s and simmer for 5 minutes preferably with a lid

Add your raw chicken and simmer for another 5 minutes with lid on,

Add 15o g of chopped tomatoes and simmer for another 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked throughly, season with salt and pepper as prepared.

Now serve with boiled rice or chapatti’s and garnish with freshly chopped coriander
