Mum’s Masala Madras

There is nothing quite like authentic Indian food prepared using a traditional Mum’s recipe. This dish is a must for those of you who enjoy a good old curry. You can cook this curry in the morning and leave it to infuse through out the day to make it even more delicious


  • Jar of Mum’s Masala Medium
  • 700 grammes of Chicken with bone or boneless
  • 1/2 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes, pureed
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional fresh coriander leaves and fresh red chilli chopped to Garish

Prep Time 5 mins

Cooking Time 30/35 mins


Empty a jar of Mum’s Masala into a saucepan preferably with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes

Add your raw chicken and simmer for another 5 minutes with lid on

Add 50ml of warm water to the jar MM and empty into the saucepan with the tomatoes

Simmer for another 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked throughly, optional add salt to season.

Now serve with boiled rice or chapatti’s and garnish with freshly chopped coriander
